The silicone rubber is inert, very flexible and can be used in medical and FDA environments. Temperature range-40°C- +200°C,short periods up to +260°C with several hours. 3. Advantage 1). Wide operating temperature- silicone foam has a temperature range of -67°F to 392°F (-55°C to 200°C).2). Water sealing -the closed cell products offer good water sealing with relatively low compressive forces.3). Dust sealing- open cell and closed cell products can be used for sealing out dust with low compressive forces.4). Compression set resistance- silicone foam offers excellent compression set resistance (ability to rebound to original thickness).5). UV and ozone resistance- silicone products have excellent UV and ozone resistance due in part to their inorganic backbone. This provides long term performance.6).
